Plant Spotlight ~ Moberly, MO

Moberly is home to the MLS headquarters and is in the heart of Missouri where the company was founded. Raymond Orwig, Sr. started MLS in a facility between New Franklin and Boonville, Missouri. In a few short years after the MLS tub was born, the company incorporated in 1987. Soon, MLS needed to look for a new location in the area while wanting to stay central to the Midwest cattle industry and retain access to ingredients. Raymond and his son, Joe, were looking for a new location in 1991 when Raymond settled on Moberly shortly before his passing. At that point Joe moved forward setting up the company in Moberly where the plant remains today
